52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Week 2 Coral!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Week 2 Coral ; ONE

So I already messed up this challenge but have no fear I have not given up yet! My RL has been a little TOO busy for my liking and I just haven’t had time to blog! But I’m back and I’m trying to catch up to the current week, so bare with me as I get through this! Week 2 was Coral! Which is actually one of my favorite colors! Though I had a hard time finding something to wear for this week, but eventually found something that I fell in love with! I’ve always been a pretty big fan of The Secret STore even before they turned into a giant store!

I also stopped by Izzie’s a few days ago and they released socks, tights, leggings and stockings galore! I unfortunately I have a terrible addiction when it comes to hosiery! I have to buy it all and so I did! I grabbed the Zebra Tights for this look that are too cute and paired them with my MStyle pumps! I’m also excited that I finally got to use one of my pose props from Baffle! called My Vintage Umbrella! It comes with ten different poses using a super cute umbrella! You should definitely check it out and perfect to use for any rainy day picture!

My skin is from The Dressing Room Blue’s newest collection! It’s Atomic and it was only 70L! You can’t get a better deal then that for a quality skin! I’m absolutely loving it! Though the original lips are red I wore a coral lipstick that came with the Elly skins from Pink Fuel! (Another great skin you should check out if you are in the market for a new one!) Stumblebum is back for more!

Stumblebum is back for more! ; ONE

Can you believe we are almost over with January in 2012?! Stumblebum is back for it’s second round and it’s just as impressive as the first! Tons of items to love and buy at a small discounted price! My favorites especially were paper.doll, Honey, I’m Home! & Whippet & Buck! As always the quality and care into this event really shows through more than any other event! How could you not love Stumblebum?

I grabbed my favorite KittyCat Kelly for this picture in my new sky home by Honey, I’m Home! and my LISP bed that matches perfectly! The Honey, I’m Home! Skybox is amazing! With shades of purples and pinks, it really is a girl’s dream! The texturing is original and too cute! I never want to leave home anymore! This dress from Whippet & Buck the “Talk” dress is one of my new favorites. It’s sexy, comes in four colors and can be worn dress down or dressed up! Here I paired it with favorite pink tights (to match my new home of course) from MStyle, the Stumblebum Jewelry from Mood called “Ambition” and my new favorite G-Field heels!

Zoey from paper.doll has been at it again releasing this super cute shorts dress for Stumblebum worn by my lovely friend Jim! I love the floral pattern and the high waist belt! This outfit is perfect to wear on any occasion!

Sea Hole also released these sexy tops which I squeezed my co-writer Teresa into! I love the detailing around the collar and chest area! This shirt has a lot going on and it’s all working beautifully! Can’t forget to mention how cute is this piano from LISP that they released for Collabor88? Goes perfectly in my new home!

Stumblebum Round 2!

Stumblebum Runway ; THREE

I had a lot of fun with this post. This event is probably going to be my favorite to blog! There’s so many great things! I’m also really excited to have used shadows and depth of field for the first time! Usually on my iMac I get a texture glitch with any transparent texture that disappears but since I used this pose prop I didn’t have to worry about that this time! Click here for my first post about Stumblebum!

This time around, one of my favorite stores TokiDoki has released this super cute ‘Stumble Bag’ (Shown here in Gray). Normally SL bags aren’t my forte but I really love the texturing on this bag and of course, like all of TokiDoki’s items it is wonderfully sculpted to fit your avatar perfectly!

As you guys already know about my huge mesh craze I’ve been going through lately, Aura released these really beautiful mesh earrings for Stumblebum as well. I love the textures on these earrings, they are very unique! And if you haven’t already checked out Aura’s other mesh releases you definitely should! They are unique and lovely, you are bound to be amazed!

Haut Monde is back with another great release for Stumblebum as well! The “Gia” dress which features a cute scrunched bow in the front that hugs the body. This dress is cute and yet sexy at the same time.

Hucci also released these lovely mesh pumps which I’m really excited about. They have a Suede look to them and I’m all about suede in real life, don’t judge me, it feels nice haha. They have a pretty nice shape to them as well! Wasabi Pills also had a new release with this super cute hair! Brande was always a favorite of mine from Fri.Day but since it was sculpted hair it goes through the shoulder, now that I have a similar version in mesh I can wear this all the time without having that worry!

Winter Charm

Winter Charm ; ONE

So many new releases out and it’s all exciting! With the start of the new year ahead of us, designers seem to be going out with a big bane! Burley & Maitreya both have some lovely new releases recently and I couldn’t help but snatch them up immediately!

Maitreya recently started releasing a series of mesh items and, like all of maitreya’s items they are fabulous. One of my favorite things from them was this Athena Mesh Sweater, especially in green so I can wear it when I’m RPing at Hogwarts:Your Story as well! I was really impressed with the quality of it and the back of the sweater is lovely scooped back! Whoever said sweaters can’t be sexy clearly hasn’t tried this one on yet!

Burley has become one of my favorite hair stops this year. Their textures are unique from other hair stores and really it makes them a stand out against their competitors in my opinion. Of course their unique styles helps as well! There were multiple hair styles released recently, be sure to check Burley out!

Bears!!

Hey everyone, Today on my journeys I came along a cute little store that I hadn’t been to before called BCC.  They have some really great stuff and the one thing that I simply couldn’t go past was these awesome leggings with little bear head patches on the knees lol.  This lead me to find something to go with them and to create this blog :)   After discovering the store Love recently there was no doubt that I wanted to wear one of their hairs for this pic and this messy high bun hair was just perfect and sooo a me hairstyle (well when I had long hair that is haha).  Todays shopping trip was about discovering new stores for me and the store I got my jumper and bag from was one of them.  Bukka was a store I found after seeing one of their items on a blog roll recently and thought I’d go check it out.  They have some great things at reasonable prices and they also have some of their things up on three lucky boards which is always good.  This jumper comes with options for the cuffs and collar so you can play with it a bit which is awesome and the bag can be attached either on your back or on your hip as I have worn it.  So all in all a great day of new stores and great buys.  Hope you all have a great Sunday !!

I’d like to add that when I took this picture I didn’t know at the time that Love had taken it down and was no longer selling it.  They had found out that the template that had used in the creation of the skin had in fact been stolen and resold.  I applaud the owner of Love for taking such quick action in taking down this item even tho it was sad to see such a beautiful skin taken away.  After this post I like the owner of Love will not blog this skin again as I believe that no ones hard work in sl should ever be copied and sold.  Again Id just like to say how refreshing it is that this store unlike so many others has taken the item down and not left it up and tried to work around it by saying they have modified the template enough that it doesnt matter.

Get Edgy with Four Corners ; ONE

It’s that time again! The fresh air of a new and WONDERFUL event! This one thought up by the genius behind Croire, Emily Kaestner! Four Corners is a special event taking place on the Meow Sim which features four mood boards and select stores pick a board and create something to match! The Mood I’m showing you right now is from the “Bikes & Spikes”, but seriously all other moods were not a let down!

My favorite item from the entire event was this Jacket from Beetlebones. It’s hard to believe that this is MESH! It’s absolutely beautiful textured and honestly Beetlebones, with all my purchases there, have never been a let down! I’m excited to welcome this jacket to my inventory! It comes in Black or Tan but honestly, both would make a wonderful addition to anyone’s inventory!

The pants and top are the new release for Four Corners from League! Just like any league item they are wonderful, especially the pants! The newest item I’m excited about is I came across a new store called Bellballs who created these AMAZING earrings! The detail and care that went towards making these is incredible and a definite must buy!

I Love Eating Snow!

What do you do when it’s snowing outside? Sit in your window and watch it fall to the ground, settle and cover

everything in a blanket of white which makes the world look still and silent for a moment.

Or are you like me, grab what warm clothing you can whilst running out the door to

place your footprints in it first  to make your mark before looking up to the sky,

mouth open to get a few flakes on the end of your tongue … Mmmmmm.

I never have much by my door but I had my cosy pink winter sweater from Izzies on the edge on my couch and my Izzies mittens

tuck inside my [GOS] boots which are always sat by the door ready for a day just like this, and well i was already in my awesome DeeTalez jeans.

With Love….Monotones

With love (Again) Hunt is back for another round and there are lots of stores to get everyone excited!!.  There is around 100 stores participating and there items are amazing.  One of the things that I grabbed and instantly feel in love with was this dress from Gawk.  I love things that are simple but well done and textured perfectly.  I always hate it when I buy a dress and the dress prim texture doesn’t match up with the jacket layer but I can always feel safe knowing that I wont have this problem with things I get from Gawk and this dress was no different.

I also grabbed this really cute hair form LoQ that is fun and went perfectly with my dress… yaaay!! The hair comes with a hair tattoo as there is only a bit of hair on the top and a few wispy bits on the bottom.

I can’t go past talking about this stunning skin from Essences.  I have grabbed clothes from them before and have always loved what they have had out.  So when I saw they were in the hunt I was excited to see what clothes they where going to put in the hunt box.  I was pleasantly surprised to open it and find this skin.  I haven’t tried their skins before but after this one I will be at their store later to try the other ones hahah.

This hunt was alot of fun with some great prizes, so get on out there and give it a go :)
