Edge of Darkness

Halloween is slowly making its way into Australia but unfortunately its still not that big so SL is where I can dress up as dark and bloody and scary as i can, and this is the outfit I came up with for this year haha.  I have mixed a bit of old with new and love what I came up with in the end.  I grabbed these great boots from Death Row Design and teamed it up with this amazing new dress from Grasp.  If you’re looking for some place that is great for those scary pics look no further than Legion , it really is an amazing sim.  Hope you all have a Spooky and fun night!

Happy Halloween! Shake Ya Tailfeather!

Shake Ya TAILFEATHER! ; ONE

It’s my favorite time of year! Unfortunately I didn’t really get to enjoy it this year with the crazy snow storm we had on Sunday which took 11 lives unfortunately! 3 states declared state of emergency and a lot of homes lost power. Thankfully my home was okay power wise, just lost a bit of cable and internet but that’s not a big deal! I hope everyone that was affected by the snow storm is okay and that you got to enjoy your Halloween!

There is one thing to be thankful for, the weather is ALWAYS perfect in SL! Ha! So while I didn’t get to do my normal festivities in RL, I did get to enjoy some SL Halloween fun, which there is plenty of! I picked up the cutest Peacock costume at TART and I’ve been shaking my tailfeather (haha) all day!

I hope you all have a WONDERFUL and Happy Halloween! Stay safe and worm if you are on the East Coast and for those of you who are elsewhere have a great holiday!

New Releases: That’s Haut Monde!

New Releases: Haut Monde! ; ONE

Some exciting new releases from Haut Monde over the past few days! Including a wonderful MESH clutch & Slit Dress! I must say I’m in love! Mesh has been exciting with the releases from everyone lately, I’ve collected many nice things and now I have my first mesh clutch to add to my collection. The detail on the clutch is beautifully done. Just like haut monde’s shoes, you can tell the same care to detail was given to this clutch.

As for the slit dress it’s sexy without being slutty and that’s what I love about most of Haut Monde’s items. You can wear this to an exciting night out on the virtual town.

And lastly with Halloween today I’m proud to say I FINALLY bought this LAQ Mima Pale skin! I’ve been eyeing it since it came out last year and it’s just beautiful. There She Blows!!

She’s suppose to love me yet she lets me blow away!!! Talk about sisterly love.

Least we was looking good in our gorgeous new boots at the time.

If you are not yet using a mesh viewer I can highly recommend the clothing and shoe range in mesh,

they fit perfectly and move with your body with no pokey out bits.

Just like my new Rain Boots which I am love with as my sister is with hers, I think we may even sleep in them.

They come in so many different colours and you can change the colours of all the little bits just by purchasing some texture packs,

and now there is even pattern packs to! one of which you can get free if you are in the stores group now it

can’t get better than that can it!

All of my Friends and I are crazy. That’s what keeps us sane!

After spending a completely random night with my bestie Mink, being anything but normal and pulling faces at each other with our EmoterHuds (which happens to be an obsession of ours) I decided to include her cuteness in my post today :D

If there is anyone I can be completely at ease (and completely insane) with, it has to be my Minkymoo! Luckily for me, she loves me enough to let me drag her butt through pose stores on a hunt for the ‘perfect’ pose.
After running around stores, and constantly being asked ‘WHERE DID YOU GO NOW?’ we FINALLY picked a really adorable pose by Glitterati called ‘Squeeze’.

I wasn’t feeling overly girly this week, in fact, I rarely do haha but I decided to dress close to what I was wearing RL at the time. I also have to mention that I am currently ADDICTED to the mesh Heathrow boots from {Mon Tissu}.

Mink and I ofcourse decided we HAD to pull faces in our picture…

Why we chose to look terrified, I don’t know…

Dolls Day Out

Skin Quickie! It’s HALLOWEEEEN!

I LOVE Halloween, so I always look forward to all the limited edition Halloween items released every year. There have been SO many cute Halloween skin releases that I couldn’t pick just one! Here are my must-have skins for this Halloween:

Illusory – Paige Skins in “Bite Me” (Collabor88) and “Bloody Mary” (Knitting Circle Bake Sale)

These skins are absolutely flawless, which is something you would expect from Illusory. The thing I love about these skins is that they are simple while still being scary! No overdone makeup or face paint.

 

Glam Affair – Amelie “Silenced” (Group Gift) & Gio “I wanna Bite You” (Dressing Room)

Glam Affair made my day when they put Silenced out as a group gift (30L$ Joining Fee). It’s sooo perfect for Halloween, but I can see uses year-round. The “I wanna bite you” skin is perfect for someone who already has a great pair of fangs and just needs a skin with blood.

 

Imabee – Florentien (Limited Edition!) & Fashionably Dead – Bird Skin “Shark”

This Imabee skin is one I am INCREDIBLY excited about. It’s a pre-release of a coming skin line and I’m very impressed. It’s original, demure, and absolutely flawless! And of course the Fashionably Dead skin is just amazing. In addition to being useful during Halloween, you could easily slap a lip tattoo on and use it as a runny mascara skin year round!

 

Pestle & Twig “Corpse Bride” & Leafy “Sickly” (Limited Edition!)

This Pestle & Twig skin is actually part of a full Corpse Bride Avatar which I know some of you will go CRAZY for. I showed it on my shape to illustrate that it’s also a glamorous alternative to a Drow skin if you find yourself needing one for Halloween. The “sickly” Leafy skin is one of 3 Limited Edition Halloween skins from Leafy, and they’re ALL amazing. I chose the sickly skin for its modest pricepoint (250L) and because I don’t think I’ve ever come across a skin with that particular effect, it’s truly eerie!

Hide your face, so the world will never find you!; ONE

As I’ve already talked about, I’ve recently gotten into RPing at Hogwarts:Your Story. A terrific role play for any Harry Potter fan! This past weekend they had the “Death Day Party” which means we got to change out of our normal house colors and come dressed up for a special masquerade. I’ve personally never been to a masquerade in SL before so I was particularly excited about this one! To add even MORE cuteness to my outfit, my character’s pet, “Bubble” the PygmyPuff took a little Masquerade turn herself and decided to dress up for the occassion as well! This little cutie is for sale at the Ohmai Emporium at The Alley Shoppes on Hogwarts: Your Story for only 50L! Other’s include a frankenstein, dracula, ghost & werewolf! They are all too adorable and you really should check them out for yourself!

I grabbed a few of my friends and off I went! Finding a good quality mask was certainly NO easy task! But I was lucky enough to find this one Illusions. The texturing was very nice although there was no proper eye opening for the eyes, they kind of just came through the prim which was a bit awkward but still the overall quality was a good one and you couldn’t beat the price! I paired my outfit with this really awesome accessory I found on the marketplace which I feel really gave the “Glam Factor” to my outfit. The Diamond Shawl by {*Aglaia*} is only available on the marketplace and definitely a must have in your inventory for a great twist to any outfit you can pair it with!

Stepping Out

I’m always looking for new poses to try out and use and today I saw the new pose set from Izzie’s called Pencil Skirt Poses.  I decided I’d attempt to get a little dressed up and try out my new poses.  One problem tho…I didnt actually own a pencil skirt haha.  A friend suggested that I go and look at The Secret Store for one, so off I tped and wouldn’t you know it I found just the right skirt.  Now all I needed was a top to go with it and well of cause they also had some great tops that would work great so I grabbed myself this one and headed home.  So in the end this is what I came up with =)

Animation Station

Boom has just come out with a great multi folder pose stand.  There will no longer be multiple pose stands covering my platform!!.  This  pose stand comes with 9 folders already attached with the ability to add more.  Simply drop your animations into the folders you want them in and tadaa done.  You can rename each folder what ever you like by clicking on the folder and chosing name folder from the drop down menu.  You can also chose to grab the animation you are standing on or all from that folder.  There is also a hud that you can wear to help rotate your avatar or you can use the rotation pad connected to the stand.  Another handy feature is that if you have a lot of poses in a folder instead of having to click-through all the poses to get to the one you want you can jump forward to it by typing in its number.  You can also hide the pose stand and folders when you are ready to take a picture by clicking on the pose stand or typing in the word hide.  This stand helps keep all your animations sorted and easily accessable.  Get yours here today!
